Carol Marie Davis has put her work on display at the Dollhouse and Toy Museum in Bennington, Vt. She has written several books for children and is now working on one that will follow a black family north during the Civil War. The little girl in the book holds her twin dolls close as the family seeks refuge in an underground railroad home in Bennington. Carol has created interesting dolls as inspiration for her books that includes one about her grandmother who leaves Russia to come to America. Video by Jackie Marro.
